Guntur, March 31 (NSS): Officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau have raided the residence of Mohan Rao, working as deputy engineer at Repalle in the Roads and Buildings department.
According to the information, the ACB sleuths were conducting searches in the engineer’s house at Chandramouli Nagar and houses of his close relatives simultaneously. The ACB officials said that they were conducting searches on the engineer’s house following credible information that he had amassed wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.
A 20-member special team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (ACB), Mr V Krishnudu, raided the house conducting searches. The sleuths were reportedly examining gold ornaments, Bank account books and documents pertaining to immovable properties.
Mr Mohan Rao has been working as deputy engineer at Repalle since October 25, 2008. There were allegations against him during 2009 elections that he had committed malpractices on large scale in a construction work. (NSS)
