All-Party leaders urge CM not to hand over Bibinagar NIMS to private persons

Hyderabad, April 17 : Leaders of all parties here on Sunday called on the Chief Minister, Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy, in the Camp office and submitted a memorandum requesting him not to hand over the newly-constructed NIMS building at Rangapur near Bibinagar in Nalgonda district to private persons.

The all-party leaders have reportedly brought to the notice of the Chief Minister that the NIMS premises at Bibinagar was hurriedly inaugurated by then chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy on the eve of elections even before completion of building works. They also complained to the Chief Minister that the works of Outpatient Block remained incomplete even after two years.

Recalling that the RIMS in Kadapa and NIMS in Nalgonda were declared open on the same day, they pointed out that while the works of RIMS were completed already those of NIMS were abandoned for the reasons best known to the government. They also strongly felt that neglect of NIMS works by the government was a part of regional discrimination. They urged the Chief Minister to order restoration of construction works at Bibinagar immediately and bring it to use for the benefit of the poor in Telangana districts.

The Telugu Desam party senior leaders, Ms Uma Madhava Reddy, Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy, the TRS leader, Mr Jagadeeshwar Reddy were among those who met the Chief Minister. (NSS)
