Hyderabad: Appealing to the Centre to solve Telangana without delay, the Handlooms and Textiles Minister, Dr P Shankar Rao, has alleged that various Telangana organisations’ leaders, intellectuals and JAC leaders were in a feeling that the Telangana people were only getting subordinate jobs in the State.
He said that the Chief Minister, PCC Chief, Speaker, Council Chairman, Chief Secretary, DGP, City Police Commissioner were all from Seemandhra only.
Speaking to the media at CLP office here on Thursday, Dr Shankar Rao said that he was addressing letters to the AICC Chief, Ms Sonia Gandhi and AICC general secretary, Mr Rahul Gandhi, regarding the discrimination in the State.
Making it clear that the creation of separate Telangana was the only solution to all problems, Dr Shankar Rao said that the Centre has to make a convincing statement on Telangana issue. He requested the Chief Minister to ask the high command to do justice to the Telangana region as there was a strong feeling that the injustice was meted out to the region. If not the unrest will increase in the region, he added.
Condemning the remarks of the Congress MLC, Mr K R Amos, against the high command that it was silent all these years while accepting bribes from former chief minister Dr YSR, Dr Shankar Rao said that the high command was not in such a bad position to accept bribes from Dr YSR.
