The Chief Minister Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy wished the people of Andhra Pradesh a merry Christmas. In a message to the people on the eve of Christmas, the Chief Minister said “May this Christmas be filled with joy & happiness. May the glow of prosperity, joy and happiness illuminate your life. Merry Christmas and season’s greetings”.
The Chief Minister said the people should imbibe spirit of love and sacrifice from Jesus Christ. He said Jesus lived and died for his people. Jesus Christ shouldered their sins and was submitted himself to be crucified for love, peace and fraternity. The Chief Minister said there is no room for hatred and animosity in the world. “Let us live like brothers and sisters. Let us live in peace and harmony. Let us love and be helpful to each other. Let us not fall prey to jealousy and hatred. Let us keep away hatred and animosity”, he said.
The message of Jesus Christ and the spirit behind Christmas is peace, happiness and harmony. The Chief Minister said Andhra Pradesh was adjudged as the best governed State in the country in a recent survey heralded by a popular Media House.
The Chief Minister said Rs.1027 crs has been allocated in this year’s budget for Minorities Welfare. He said a Commissionerate for Minorities Welfare has also been established.
While wishing the people a merry Christmas, the Chief Minister said the government will not leave any stone unturned as far as progress and development are concerned and he would strive his best to keep peace and harmony while developing the State. Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy reiterated that the State Government is committed to welfare and speedy development of all minorities like the Christians and Muslims. He said Christmas is celebrated not only by Christians but by all sections of the people all over the world. He said Christianity preaches universal love, brotherhood, peace and happiness.
