AP Traffic Police is geared up to enforce the Supreme Court orders prohibiting tint films from the safety glasses of four wheelers from Thursday.
The Hyderabad Traffic Police will not only Challan the vehicle, but also remove the Black Film affixed to the glasses. In the first few weeks of its implementation, motorists will be penalised Rs 500. However, the challan might be increased if they vehicle owners commit the offence again.
However, the tint norms are being enforced in two phases. While the common vehicles will be covered in the first phase, the vehicles being used by persons under VVIP category with Z and Z plus security will be covered as per the norms specified under the Motor Vehicle Act.
