Accusing the UPA government of betraying the people of Telangana, the senior BJP leader, Mr L.K. Advani, said that unlike the enthusiasm to fight against corruption amongst the people in UP and MP, he was surprised when he found people in AP angry over the Centre ditching them on Telangana. “India is a great nation, but I was shocked at the turn of events of late. Union home minister P. Chidambaram tells Lok Sabha that ‘my government is starting the process for a separate Telangana’ and goes back on his word in 15 days. Yeh to vishwasghat hai (this is betrayal).” The veteran BJP leader winded up his two-day Jan Chetna Yatra in the state covering the six districts of Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Medak, Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad before addr-essing a public meeting at Exhibition Grounds. “We need good governance and viable states. There is a government in Delhi but no governance,” he said. DC
