Vizianagaram: Transport Minister Mr. Botsa Satyanarayana has announced that the APSRTC was introducing Vanita Family Cards as Ugadi gift to benefit members of poor families.
Talking to the media here on Sunday, he said the cards would be issued to all white card holders. Under the scheme, family members of the card holders would be eligible for 10 percent concession on bus charges. They would also get an accident insurance of Rs. 1 lakh. The cards would have a validity of two years and they would be issued in all the APSRTC depots from the Ugadi day, the minister has added. He said all those who pay Rs. 100 would be issued these cards.
The minister has said 50 more air conditioned buses would ply in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. (NSS)
