The deceased, who was lying across the railway track near the bridge between Hussiansagar and Sanjeeviah park station, was run over by an unknown train. A suicide note found at the spot, revealed that he committed suicide for Telangana.
Laxminarayana, 27, a resident of Rasoolpura, Begumpet, is married and is survived by his wife and a four-year-old daughter. According to Mahesh, railway police subinspector, Laxminarayana might have committed suicide late on Saturday night between 11.30 pm and midnight.
He chose the lonely place at an odd hour to end his life. He came at the bridge situated between the two stations and put his head on the track. The passersby who noticed the body on Sunday morning at around 6 am, informed the cops.
“We found a suicide note at the spot purportedly written by him, blaming the delay in creation of Telangana as the reason for his suicide,” Mahesh said. His family did not lodge any complaint or suspect anyone.
A case under Section 174 of the CRPC was registered and is being investigated. The body was shifted to the Osmania General Hospital and was handed over to the family after a postmortem.
Meanwhile, apart from the media, no local leaders or politicians visited the spot and the body of the deceased.
