Bandh in Kadapa in support of Samaikyandhra

Kadapa: The Samaikyandhra Joint Action Committee of Kadapa today organized bandh in the district in support of the united Andhra Pradesh. All political parties and students unions extended total support to the bandh call.

Sporadic incidents were reported in the district in connection with the bandh. The Samaikyandhra activists raided a petrol bunk under the limits of One Town Police Station in the district and ransacked the premises. They also threatened the petrol bunk manager to close it immediately. At another place, the JAC leaders involved in heated arguments with the APSRTC officials. The agitators also stopped the private and RTC buses at several places.

The agitators successfully halted plying of RTC buses at all the eight bus depots in the district. In support of the bandh, shops and commercial establishments downed their shutters voluntarily. The enraged agitators attacked several lorries plying in the district and damaged their wind panes. However, the district police made elaborate bandobust in the wake of bandh call.

The JAC leaders said they were organizing the bandh to convey their total support for united State.
