Hyderabad: The State president of the BC Aikya Sangarshana Samithi, Mr V G R Naragoni has called upon the electorate to vote in favour of Mr Y S Vijayamma and her son Mr Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in the ensuing elections to the Pulivendula Assembly seat and the Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency, respectively.

Speaking to the media here on Friday, Mr Naragoni expressed optimism that unlike other political parties, the Y SR Congress party would take a justifiable stand in respect of political representation for the people from the backward communities and the decades long Telangana issue. He alleged that both the Congress and the Telugu Desam party have treated the backward class people as a mere vote bank and never given them due political representation. Even as both the Congress and the TDP had assured of allotting at least 100 seats for the backward class people during the last general elections, in fact the farmer given just 65 seats, while the latter allotted a mere 53 seats. Stating that both the parties have become synonym for opportunism, he stated that time has ripen to teach them a fitting lesson.

Mr Naragoni expressed unconditional support to the anti- corruption crusader, Mr Anna Hazare, who has been on an indefinite hunger strike over the last four days demanding the introduction of the Jan Lokpal Bill in the parliament to check huge corruption at the level of highest offices. (NSS)
