BJP alleges unlimited flow of money in MLC elections

Vijayawada: The Bharatiya Janata party senior leader, Mr Venkaiah Naidu has said that he has never seen the kind of elections like the current MLC elections in the State as they were virtually characterized by unhindered flow of money.

Speaking to the media here on Monday, Mr Venkaiah Naidu alleged that the elections at present have become synonymous with the flow of money on account of the negligence by the governments to take measures in order to check the menace. He also lamented that democracy was being made a mockery owing to the voters getting influenced through monetary enticements at the time of elections.

Lashing out at the UPA regime at the Centre, Mr Naidu said that it was totally marked by scandals of unprecedented magnitude like the 2G Spectrum, the Commonwealth Games, the Adarsh Housing Society and others, and it has lost the moral right to continue in power. He also alleged that the Government was not at all interested in getting all such scandals probed. (NSS)
