Hyderabad: The Minister for Transport, Mr Botcha Satyanarayana, on Thursday expressed dissatisfaction over the Visakhapatnam Inspector General of Police sending him a notice through fax cautioning that his name was among two ministers targeted by the Maoists.
The IG faxed a notice to the Minister saying that the CP (Maoist) members were moving in the North Andhra region in the recent times. It was suspecting that two ministers from the region, including Mr Botcha satyanarayana might have been targeted by them. The Naxalites were looking for an opportunity to cause sensation at a time when they suffered huge loss in the State.
Expressing displeasure over informing him of the serious matter through a fax, the Minister telephoned to the Director General of Intelligence, Mr mahender Reddy, and brought the matter to his notice. He asked whether it was the way to communicate the serious matter to him through a simple fax. The IG should have called him on telephone or meet him personally and advice him to be careful.
According to grapevine, the Minister for Roads and Buildings, Mr Dharmana Prasada rao, was another minister in the hit list of the Naxalites.
