Hyderabad, April 16 : The Cabinet meeting chaired by the Chief Minister, Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy, on Saturday approved the recruitment of posts of various categories in different departments.
Speaking to the media after the cabinet meeting, the Minister for Finance, Mr Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, said that the cabinet has given a nod for sanctioning of 31 additional posts including seven regular and 24 outsourcing in Sri Venkateshwara Veterinary University, Tirupati. It would cost the exchequer Rs 1.49 crores a year. The university would fully bear the amount for five years, he added.
The Cabinet also accepted sanction of 90 posts in the Pollution Control Board. The PCB has requested for sanction of 200 posts to supervise the industries. As a first phase, the cabinet approved the sanction of 200 posts that would cause expenditure of Rs 25.8 lakhs, he added.
“Setting up of APSP Battalions at Visakhapatnam and Karimnagar was also approved by the cabinet. The cabinet has shown green signal for recruitment of 1,864 policemen for the two battalions. Towards its share, the State government would bear Rs 11.5 crores in this regard”, he added.
He said that the cabinet also ratified the recruitment of two doctors for the newly set up ESI Dispensary at Srikalahasthi. It was also accepted for appointment of 31 posts on regular basis for the purpose of upgradation of 68-bed ESI Hospital at Ramachandrapuram, Medak as 100-bed hospital. It has also nodded for sanction of 433 additional posts in Treasury and Accounts department. (NSS)
