BJP senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu has said that the central government had failed in fulfilling its promise of creating the Telangana state.
Talking to the media after the Parliamentary party meeting of BJP here, he said his party would accost the government on the Telangana issue in the ensuing parliament sessions. Referring to reports that MIM has placed 41 demands before the AP government for continuing its support, Venkaiah has demanded that the government should disclose those demands and the stand taken by it on them. He has also demanded an explanation by the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy on the statement of the MIM that it was the Chief Minister himself who had proposed to give land of Mahaveer hospital to it. He said if this was true, the decision was for the welfare of the MIM and not that of the minorities. He has also demanded a clarification on reports that the ACB which probed into the liquor scam in AP has given a clean chit to Congress leaders.(NSS)
