Re-acting to the media reports that most of the affected are from amongst the Minority communities, ST and SCs. Chairman Abid Rasool Khan rushed to Kalvakurthy to review the situation and inspect the damage and recommend for relief. Chairman was accompanied by Jaipal Yadav,MLA,Kalvakurthi,Vamsichand Reddy, President,AP Youth Congress,Sabeer Ali, Municipal Commissioner and other Senior Congress, TDP and TRS leaders and Officials. They inspected the market yard where the shops were burnt, interacted with the affected persons and discussed with the Officials.
Chairman has addressed the issue to the Government of AP and Collector, Mahboobnagar to sanction an immediate ex-gratia of rupees 30,000 to each of the affected,so that they can re-start their business by repairing their shops.
Further the Chairman has advised the affected to file applications for loans, in AP State Finance Corporation and the Chairman has offered to recommend their cases for early disposal of the cases….
It was also decided that plans will be drawn up for further development of market-yard with pucca shops which will be leased to the existing shop owners on reasonable rent by the Municipal Corporation, Kalvakurti.And it was also decided that the Corporation will insure the shops as they have been affected twice in 10 years.
While reviewing minorities problems in the Guest House,Chairman advised the local leaders to motivate the minorities and apply for scholar-ships, loans, skill training,marriage assistance and other facilities which are available in the various Corporations. Abid Rasool Khan also appealed to Vamsichand Reddy,President AP Youth Congress to take up a special drive for encouraging the minorities to apply for scholarships,as the targets has not been achieved.
The local leader thanked Abid Rasool Khan for his immediate visit to Kalvakurti and expressed that by the visit of the Chairman,they have gained confidence that the Government will support them during the period of their grief.
