Chandrababu Naidu knocks HC door

TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday filed a petition in the AP High Court urging it to recall its earlier order seeking a CBI probe against him and his associates. He also wanted the court to suspend the operation of that order till the disposal of his current petition by the court.

The court earlier ordered a preliminary enquiry against him following a petition filed by YSR Congress legislator YS Vijayamma, who charged Chandrababu and his associates with amassing wealth at the cost of public exchequer.

Naidu said that he was aggrieved because a probe was ordered against him without hearing him and also because the order was obtained through ‘gross suppression’ of material facts. He brought to the notice of the court the instances of the earlier orders of the court that dismissed several petitions filed by the husband of the petitioner against him. Same set of allegations were presented afresh before the court now without informing the court about their earlier dismissals, he said. He also charged that her petition was a politically motivated one and hence deserves to be dismissed.

” I have the rare distinction of the only longest serving chief minister of the state and during my nine year tenure the state has made unprecedented progress on all fronts. New grounds were broken in infrastructure, industry, information technology and other sectors”, Naidu said in his petition.

“Both my wife and son have their own sources of income. My wife is the daughter of a superstar in Telugu film industry and my son is a highly educated person,” Naidu said in his vacation petition.TOI
