Hyderabad, March, 24, (NSS): The Nampally Criminal Court here on Thursday declined to grant anticipatory bail to Shirish Bharadwaj, son-in-law of the Praja Rajyam party chief, Mr K. Chiranjeevi, who was accused in the case of dowry harassment.
Sensing that arrests would be unavoidable, Mr Shirish Bharadwaj and his parents filed a petition for anticipatory bail before the Nampally Criminal Court six days ago. Though the court granted anticipatory bail to his parents in the case, it declined to do so in case of Mr Bharadwaj.
Earlier, the CCS women police filed a case against Mr Shirish Bharadwaj and his parents on the basis of a complaint of dowry harassment lodged by his wife and the youngest daughter of Mr Chiranjeevi, Ms Sreeja. (NSS)
