Actor-turned politician Chiranjeevi came down heavily on YSR party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy while campaigning for Congress candidates in by-elections to Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula Assembly constituencies in Andhra Pradesh. YSR congress workers on the other hand hurled eggs on Chiru and booed him as he criticised Jagan from time to time.
Addressing meetings at various villages from Chintakommadinne to Pulivendula mandals, Chiranjeevi alleged that Jagan, the son of late chief minister Y S Rajsekhara Reddy, is very keen to became the chief minister. He asked the people to defeat Jagan by casting their votes in favour of Congress. Chiru questioned the people as to how Jagan could question the authority of Sonia who encouraged YSR from time to time.
He also opined that it was unbecoming on the part of Jagan to criticise Sonia and congress party from time to time as Jagan is in this position because of congress party. If YSR would have been alive he would have not allowed all this he said. He wanted the people to teach a lesson to Jagan by trouncing him in the elections and wanted people to see that all the nominees of congress would win the election here at kadapa.
