CM holds discussion with ministers on Kadapa By Polls

Hyderabad: The Chief Minister, Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy on Thursday explained to his cabinet colleagues and Kadapa Congress leaders the ‘suggestions and advises’ given by the party high command on facing the by-polls in Kadapa district.

After returning from New Delhi, the Chief Minister held discussions with the Minority Welfare Minister from Kadapa district, Mr Ahamadulla, the district in-charge minister, Mr Kanna Lakshmi Narayana and party leaders of the district on matters related of Kadapa by-elections.

According to sources, the Chief Minister got certain instructions from the party high command in the matter. He shared the same with the ministers and asked them to implement them at field level in the elections. He asked them to take the by-elections as a prestigious one and not to leave any stone unturned in ensuing victory to the Congress candidates – Dr D L Ravindra Reddy from Kadapa Parliamentary Constituency and Mr Y S Vivekananda Reddy from Pulivendula Assembly constituency.

The meeting also discussed the merits and demerits of the party candidates in the by-polls and how to turn the political situation in favor of the ruling party. (NSS)
