Hyderabad, February 4: The Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, will participate in the Rachchabanda programme on Saturday at Lachan village under Madhnoor mandal in Nizamabad district. The Chief Minister will also participate in the Rachchabanda programme at Thanoor village of Mudhole mandal of Adilabad district. Later he will distribute assets and attend public meeting at Thanoor before leaving for Hyderabad.
The Rachchabanda programme was held at 1,613 places throughout the State on Friday — the tenth day. In Andhra at 649 places, Rayalaseema 300 places, Telangana 664 places. There were reports of minor disruptions at few places in Telangana only. Many beneficiaries received assets and other benefits at different places in the State on Friday. Already Rachchabanda has covered 14,509 villages/gram panchayats – Andhra 5,829; Rayalaseema 2,776 and Telangana 5,904. There were minor disruptions in a total of 99 places in Telangana. In all, till date the programme was held in 16,122 places all over the State.
The Chief Minister asked the officials to immediately process the applications and representations received from the people during the programme on a war-footing and deliver the benefits to the eligible people. The people in general enthusiastically participated in the programme so far in various districts and brought to the notice of the authorities the problems they are facing in availing the benefits under various welfare schemes launched by the State government.
The Chief Minister reiterated that the programme was aimed to help the people who have no voice, particularly the poor. The objective of the government was to take administration to the door-steps of the people. He said the programme is expected to provide benefits to 1.25 crore people to the tune of Rs 2,500 crores.
