Collector’s Abduction Heinous: Pallam Raju

Guntur, Feb.20 (NSS): The Union Minister of State for Defence, Mr Pallam Raju, here on Sunday said that the Center was taking all possible measures in a constructive manner to maintain internal security in the country.

Mr Pallam Raju was speaking to mediapersons here. Reacting to the abduction of Malkangiri district Collector, Mr Vinil Krishna by Maoists, Mr Raju said that the abduction of an officer, who was working for the welfare of the people, was a heinous and condemnable act.

The Minister also disclosed that an ordnance factory and weapon research center will be set up in Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad in the near future. He also revealed that a Missile center relating to the Navy will come into being in September this year.

Referring to the affairs of the former Kadapa MP, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, Mr Raju exuded confidence that the son of late chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy would return to the parent party soon. (NSS)
