Cong following policy of opportunism: Venkaiah Naidu

Visakhapatnam: The senior national BJP leader, Mr M Venkaiah Naidu, here on Sunday ridiculed the Congress party saying that the ruling party’s ideology was merely opportunism and not nationalism.

Speaking to mediapersons, Mr Venkaiah Naidu said that the erratic policies of Congress party were responsible for separatist agitations in the country. Stating that the UPA

government was immersed in rampant corruption, Mr Naidu said that his party would intensify the agitation against corrupt practices of the ruling party.

Mr Venkaiah also made it clear that the BJP and RSS extended full support to the movement launched by the Yoga guru Ramdev Baba and Anna Hazare againt corruption and black money in the country. He said that his party would organise protest rallies all over the country from June 23 to 26 with a demand that the UPA government curb corruption and flush out black money. He also said that his party would organise protests all over the State on June 21.

Reiterating that the ruling party was following policy of opportunism, the BJP leader feared that the UPA government may resort to imposition of Emergency any time in view widespread unrest in the country.

Mr Venkaiah Naidu suggested to the State government to immediately stop its Rytu Chaitanya yatras and Sadassulu and instead sincerely work for the welfare of the farming community.
