Anantapur: Alleging that ruling Congress party and the main Opposition Telugu Desam Party were hands in glove, YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy on Tuesday said that the two parties are politicising the problems faced by the people to get political mileage.
Addressing the gathering at a public meeting at ODC YSR Circle as part of his Odarpu Yatra in Anantapur district, Mr Jaganmohan Reddy said that the two parties were equally to be blamed for the problems being faced by the people.
“Both the Congress and TDP leaders have failed to discharge their duties. The Congress, as the ruling party has failed in solving people’s problems, while the TDP, as the main opposition, has failed to force the government to act,” the Kadapa MP said.
He added that the people of the state would reject both the parties in the next elections for their lackadaisical attitude and approach in addressing people’s issues.
If the Congress and TDP continue with their attitude and fail to address the issues of the people, the candidates of these two parties would lose their deposits in the next elections, the YSR Congress chief said.
Stating the God was observing the developments in the state, Mr Jaganmohan Reddy said the people of state will teach a fitting lesson to both Congress and TDP.
He expressed confidence that the state would witness the golden rule it experienced during the reign of former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, ‘soon’. (INN)
