Warangal, Feb.13 (NSS): Congress MLA and Warangal district Congress Committee president Mr Gandra Venkataramana Reddy has urged the Centre to make its stand clear on Telangana issue, even if there was no scope to introduce the Telangana bill in the ensuing Parliament budget session. He said that it was not possible for him to extend support to the proposed non-cooperation movement commencing from February 17, being part of ruling party.
Speaking to the media here on Sunday, Mr Venkataramana Reddy said that Mr KCR has earlier, made it clear that he will merge the TRS in the Congress if the Centre created separate Telangana State. He opined that the Congress party was in a strong position in the Telangana region, and said that it doesn’t matter whether Mr KCR joins Congress or not. He exuded confidence that the Congress would come to power in Telangana if the Centre created separate State. He said that the Telangana Congress leaders would convince the party high command by conveying the feelings of Telangana people.
Demanding the Centre to stick to the December 9, 2009 announcement on Telangana, Mr Venkataramana Reddy requested the Centre to make another statement supporting its earlier announcement. (NSS)
