Visakhapatnam, Feb.13 (NSS): The CPI-M has criticized the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation for adding to the burden of the common man, even while the Chief Minister Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy was declaring that the Government would not put additional burden on the people.

Speaking in a public meeting held in Kancharapalem here on ‘Property tax hike and peoples’ problems in Visakhapatnam’ , the CPI-M State Secretary Mr B V Raghavulu found fault with the Corporation authorities in enhancing the taxes which would hard hit the middle and low income group people, while scared of taking the big business and major industrialists. He felt there was no need for the Municipal Corporation to increase taxes, as its financial condition was good. (NSS)
