Kadapa: Alleging that there were goondas among Sakshi reporters, the Minister and Kadapa Lok Sabha Congress candidate, Dr D L Ravindra Reddy, said that he faced threat to his life from them. He said that these goons were moving about in Saakshi vehicles chasing him. He said that if something happens to him, election authorities and police would be solely responsible.

Talking to mediapersons here on Sunday, Mr Ravindra Reddy said that some anti-social elements have entered polling booths posing as Saakshi reporters and resorted to irregularities. Stating that he faced threat to his life from these goons, he said Mr Jagan would have to bear responsibility if something happened to him.

Dr Reddy said that he had complained to the Election Commission about the anti-social elements entering polling booths in guise of media reporters and the life threat he faced. While voters should be permitted to vote after signing, the minister said that it was not happening that way. He said that he did not understand what the presiding officers were doing. He said that if the polling had taken place all over this way, this could not be called a free and fair election. (NSS)
