Hyderabad: The leader of Revolutionary Writers body VIRASAM, Mr Varavara Rao on Wednesday urged that the CBI inquiry into the encounter killings of CPI(Maoist) Official Spokesperson, Mr Azad and Journalist Hemachandra Pandey should be conducted transparently.
Mr Varavara Rao met CBI Joint Director Mr Lakshminarayana in the CBI Office, Koti and submitted a memorandum in this regard.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Varavara Rao said that conspiracy case should be booked and interrogated against the persons who try to influence the inquiry, protect the culprits, burry the facts and evidences in the case. The CBI should interrogate the Union Home minister, Mr P Chidambaram, the Governor, Mr E S L Narsimhan, the Home Minister of the State, Mrs P Sabita Indra Reddy and then GDP, Mr Girish Kumar.
He alleged that killing of Azad and Hema Chandra Pande in encounter were planned murders. He urged the CBI to conduct indepth inquiry into the encounter.
