Kadapa: YSR Congress party president and MP-elect Mr. Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has challenged the Congress and the TDP to face elections right now, if they have guts.
In an interview to ‘Headlines Today,’ he has alleged that the Congress party had totally failed in the state and the people were longing for a change. He has asserted that both the Congress and the TDP would not even get deposits whenever elections were held in the state. He said people were vexed with the ways of both the parties and rejected them despite both colluding in Kadapa, he said. Stating that he was ready to face elections with the photo of his father, he has asked if the Congress men were ready to face the elections with the photograph of Ms. Sonia Gandhi.
He said he was the first to be sad about the defeat of his uncle (YS Vivekananda Reddy) and emotionally said that the same blood was flowing in the nerves of both of them. He said his uncle should at least now understand the mean politics of the Congress party.
Stating that the farm sector was in dire straits, he said the lackadaisical attitude of both the central and state governments was responsible for the present state of the farmers. He has announced that he would be observing a 48-hour fast at Guntur. He said it was not a political fast, but was intended to serve as an eye opener to both the governments. (NSS)
