Girl succumbs to dengue in Kadapa

Hyderabad: A six-year-old girl died of dengue fever in Idumulavaripalle in Ramapuram mandal of Kadapa district on Saturday.

According to information reaching here, the six year girl died on Saturday due to dengue. Around one hundred people are affected due to the epidemic in the village, reports suggest.

In the nieghbouring Tamil Nadu, state the dengue cases are reported to be on the rise. In Chennai many cases are being referred to the hospitals with some cases being admitted in the intensive care unit.

The situation is reaching alarming proportions at the children’s hospitals and wards, the reports say. Doctors in almost all children’s hospitals in Chennai have been admitting dengue patients for intensive care. “We have a policy not to reveal hospital statistics, said a senior physician. (INN)
