Governor’s advice to parents

Hyderabad, April 16 : The Governor, Mr E S L Narsimhan, on Saturday advised the parents to spare some quality time to spend with the children as it was a joint effort of the parents, teachers and society.

The Governor was inaugurating the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Atmakuri Rama Rao School, a new school building complex, at Jubilee Hills here today.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that it is the atmosphere in the schools that shapes the character of a person and added that children have to be inculcated with good values from childhood, so that we have a better tomorrow. He felt that the school education was the foundation for the children, on which the entire life and career of a person is built.

Earlier, he unveiled a portrait of Dr Kulapathi K.M. Munshi, the founder of the Bhavan’s schools.

The Chairman of  Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan management,  Mr Justice Bhaskara Rao, said that over the years, the Bhavan’s educational institutions have steadily grown into a comprehensive, cooperative, apolitical national movement with an international outlook.

There are 118 kendras of Bhavan’s educational institutions in India and six institutions abroad, he said.  The Chairman, Bhavan’s School Management, Mr Gopal krishnan and others spoke. (NSS)
