The governor ESL Narasimhan has said that there was no uncertainty in the state and the administration was going on without any hitch. He said he had not received any letter from the MIM, withdrawing its support to the government.
Speaking to the media today, the governor who has come here to participate in the science congress in theNagarjunaUniversity, said the guidelines of the UGC would be implemented in letter and spirit in the appointment of Vice Chancellors of universities. Replying to a question, he also said that rules would be strictly adhered to, with respect to PHDs. To another question, he said he had not received any complaints about caste associations in theAcharyaNagarjunaUniversity. He has however said that it was improper to bring a divide among the students in the name of castes.
It may be mentioned here that the MIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi has, on November 12, announced withdrawal of support to the Congress government in the state and the UPA government at the center. He also said that he was sending letters to the president and the governor informing them of the MIM party’s decision. (NSS)
