Hyderabad: A delegation of cotton farmers from Guntur district called on the Chief Minister, Mr N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, at the Camp office here on Wednesday and narrated their tales of woe.

The cotton farmers have reportedly told the Chief Minister that they were suffering heavy losses due to the ban on cotton exports. Charging the government with imposing ban on cotton export with an intention to benefit the garment industry, they warned the government of severe consequences if it continued the hostile attitude towards farmers.

After a patient hearing, the Chief Minister pacified them saying that he would take a decision after consulting with the Union government.
