The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday admitted the CBI’s petition seeking cancellation of bail granted to senior IAS officer Y Srilakshmi by a lower court in the illegal mining case.
Admitting the petition, Justice NRL Nageswara Rao issued a notice to Srilakshmi and posted the matter to December 23.
Meanwhile, Justice Raja Elango dismissed the bail petition of former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy and his brotherinlaw B Srinivas Reddy. The duo filed the petition challenging the order of the lower court in remanding them to judicial custody.
The CBI, which sought extension of the custody of the duo for nine more days, also challenged the rejection of its plea by the lower court, in the High Court.
