Idupulapaya: Turning sentimental at the second day of the plenary of the YSR Congress Party here on Saturday, the former minister and Congress MLA, Ms Konda Surekha, has said that she was God given sister to late chief minister, Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
She said that she felt she could not continue in the cabinet without YSR when he died in the helicopter crash and got her resignation accepted by the Governor, though Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy had objected to it. Though YSR was today not with us, his heart and thoughts remain with us, she said emotionally.
Ms Surekha has said that Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was the replica of YSR’s thoughts. “YSR’s heart is Vijayamma (YSR’s wife and YSR Congress MLA from Pulivendula) and his thoughts are Mr Jagan, she said. Stating that Mr Jagan was a leader, who could hear the heart beats of the poor, she said he would serve the poor when he came to power, like his late father. She also said that late Rajasekhara Reddy’s family never went back on their word and asserted that the people’s future would be safe in their hands. She said that YSR earned himself a fond place in the hearts of all those who were benefited by his schemes.
JAGAN HOPE OF THE YOUTH: PUTTA
The YSR Congress Party youth wing president, Mr Putta Pratapa Reddy, has said that with Mr Jagan’s entry into active politics, hopes of the youth for a better future got once again rejuvenated. Addressing the plenary, he said the youth, who got into despair after the death of YSR was once again recuperating. He appealed to the State government to provide employment to all graduates in the State.
GOVT DILUTED 108 SERVICES: THIPPA
The YSR Congress Party MLC, Mr Thippa Reddy, has alleged that the present government had diluted the services of 108 and 104, introduced by late chief mnister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy. He has assured that more diseases would be included for coverage in the Arogya Sri scheme if the YSR Congress Party wrests power in the State. He said that the government was not allotting even two rupees per head for medicines.
