Warangal: The former minister, Ms Konda Surekha, has said that she had never indulged in anti-party activities.
In her reply to the show-cause notice issued to her by the Congress leadership, she said while maintaining that she had never indulged in anti-party activities, she has expressed doubts that the notice was issued to her on the basis of newspaper and media reports.
Ms Surekha has questioned how the party leadership could take disciplinary action against her for questioning why the government had not stuck its December 9 announcement about the creation of Telangana. She has alleged that there was a scheme to damage her image in the public.
Ms Surekha has questioned why the party had not taken disciplinary action against the MPs who went against the directions of the party leadership and brought the business of Lok Sabha to standstill for two days, even when party president, Ms Sonia Gandhi was in the House.
She has also questioned as to why show-cause notices were not issued to those Congress leaders who have commented that the PCC chief, Mr D Srinivas, would be defeated in the Nizamabad by-election. (NSS)
