Hyderabad: The BC United Front president, Mr Paluru Ramakrishnaiah, on Thursday demanded that the former Kadapa MP and YSR Congress Party chief, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, and his loyalist Congress MLAs should explain to the people as to why they were making a fuss over constitution of House Committee on land allotments during late YSR regime when they strongly believed that they did not earn money illegally.
In a pressnote here, Mr Ramakrishnaiah stated that while Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy had declared that he had only Rs 11 lakhs income in 2004, but he paid a whopping Rs 84 crores towards Advance Income Tax in 2009. In that case, Mr Jagan owes an explanation to the people of the State as to how he had earned such a huge fortune in just five years and what kind of business he had done during this period, he added.
The BCUF leader asked as to why the present ministers, who were also part of late YSR Cabinet, should resign when they strongly feel like Jagan loyalists that no irregular land allotments were made during the previous regime. The Jagan group’s demand for resignation of the present ministers amounts to admitting guilt by themselves indirectly, he added. (NSS)
