Vijayawada: Congress senior leader J C Diwakar Reddy has felt that the Telangana movement was only for the Chief Minister post and it could be solved by giving the post to both the regions on a rotation basis.
Mr Diwakar Reddy participated in the round table conference of Seemandhra leaders here on Saturday.
Talking to the media later, he said the Telangana problem could be solved if the Chief Minister post was given to Seemandhra for three years and to Telangana for two years. He said the Telangana movement had not stemmed out of backwardness but because of the greed for power of the leaders. He said there were no differences between the people of the two regions.
Mr Diwakara Reddy said the day when people would teach these political parties a lesson was not far off. Stating that the bifurcation issue was not limited to Andhra Pradesh, he said it was faced by several other States. He said only the leaders of Telangana want separate State.
Mr Diwakara Reddy said there was no role of the government behind the High Court ordering for CBI inquiry on YSR Congress chief, Mr Jagan’s properties. He said the situation would have been different, if the CM wrote a letter to the court, asking for such probe. He said the minister Shankar Rao had written to the court only as a private individual.
