Hyderabad: Former Minister and Congress senior leader from Telangana Mr Jeevan Reddy has said that the former MP and President of YSR Congress party, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, should make his stand clear on the Telangana state issue.

Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, Mr Jeevan Reddy opined that since Mr Jagan has started his own party, it was incumbent on him to spell out his party’s stand on the major issue facing the State – the separate Telangana issue.

He opined that the Deputy Speaker Mr Nadendla Manohar has to accept the resignation of Bandswada MLA Mr Pocharam Srinivas Reddy to the Assembly membership. It may be mentioned here that Mr Pocharam had resigned from the Telugu Desam party and the Assembly membership protesting against the TDP’s anti-Telangana stand and to fight for separate Telangana.

Mr Jeevan Reddy also found fault with the Chief Minister Mr N kiran Kumar Reddy, saying that while declaring that he would abide by the decision of the Congress party high command on Telangana issue, the Chief Minister was behaving in an anti-Telangana manner. The people of Telangana would not tolerate the actions of the Chief Minister, he added. (NSS)
