Jurala project brimming with water

Mahabubnagar: Jurala project in Mahabubnagar district was receiving 2.37 lakh cusecs of water from upper reaches today. Project authorities have said 39 crest gates of the project were raised and at the same quantity of water was being released down stream. The project has 316 metres of water. Authorities said that because of copious inflows, power generation has resumed and water for irrigation would be released to both right and left canals from Monday. Meanwhile, water level at the Srisailam project has increased to 821` metres because of the inflows from Jurala.


Water level in the Sriram Sagar project in Nizamabad district has increased to 1072 ft against the Full Reservoir Limit of 1091 ft due to good inflows from the upper reaches. Water level of the Nizamsagar project has reached 1394 ft due to copious inflows and water level in Singeetham Reservoir and Kalyani project has also reached full level.
