Hyderabad, Feb.22 (NSS): The Telangana Rashtra Samithi MLA and son of party supremo, Mr K Chandrasekhara Rao, Mr K. Taraka Rama Rao, on Tuesday demanded that the TDP Chief, Mr Nara Chandrababu Naidu, spell out his party’s stand on the burning issue of Telangana Statehood in view of volatile political situation prevailing in the region.

Speaking at media point on the premises of the Assembly, Mr Rama Rao said that the State has turned into a cauldron due to the hostile attitude of major political parties. Referring to the statement of the TDP MLA, Mr Payyavula Keshav, that they would also demand tabling of a resolution in the Assembly and conscience vote, Mr Rama Rao asked whether the TDP leader was committed to the assurance on Telangana statehood in his party election manifesto or not. The TDP legislator should resign from his post if he wanted to vote as per his conscience and not respecting party’s election manifesto.

Mr KTR said that though the protest of Telangana Congress MPs in Parliament during the President’s address was laudable, their remarks against other leaders during a media conference were highly objectionable. The Telangana Congress MPs restricted themselves to displaying placards, tea-tiffin meetings on Telangana issue, he said and demanded that they announce their action plan in the language understood by the people.
