Hyderabad: The Telangana Congress senior leader Mr Palvai Govardhan Reddy has said that the Congress would emerge as a winner in Kadapa by-elections if the polling was held in free and fair manner. Otherwise nobody knows who wins, he added. He alleged that the Ministers and MLAs who participated in Kadapa by-election campaign, have not put their full efforts to defeat the YSR Congress Party Chief Mr YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as they have love towards him.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Friday along with another senior leader Mr B Kamalakar Rao, Mr Govardhan Reddy said that a corrupt MP would be elected if the Kadapa people cast their vote to Mr Jagan. Alleging that Mr Jagan, who had shown his assets in Lakhs when Dr YSR was Chief Minister, has become a heir to thousands of crores rupees now. He said that the Congress leaders failed to expose these issues successfully in Kadapa election campaign. Urging the people to cast their vote after thinking on all aspects, Mr Goverdhan Reddy said that the Kadapa people have to decide themselves, whether to cast their vote to a corrupt politician or to an experienced politician. He alleged that Mr Jagan even purchased the police, and urged the Election Commission to initiate all steps to conduct elections in a free and fair manner.

Mr Kamalakar Rao said that the election was between ‘vote for note’ and ‘ideals, service to people’. (NSS)
