Hyderabad: The former Home Minister and TDP politburo member, Mr T Devender Goud, has described the Telangana Rashtra Samithi president, Mr K Chandrasekhara Rao, as a political broker and the YSR Congress chief, Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, as a mafia leader.
Speaking at the Mahanadu concluding session at Gandipet here on Sunday, Mr Goud alleged that Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy was buying votes with the tainted money amassed during late YSR rule. He called upon the people to get ready to wage a struggle against Mr KCR, who was cheating the people in the name of Telangana and Mr Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, who looted the State. He felt that the Congress party was being hounded by its past misdeeds.
Another TDP senior leader, Mr Yerrannaidu, said that Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy shut his mouth with the challenge hurled by the party supremo, Mr Chandrababu Naidu. Doesn’t he (Jagan) know how many legislators are required for tabling a no-confidence motion against the government? A man, who does not know how many MLAs’ support was needed to introduce a no-confidence motion against the government, could protect the people of the State, he asked. He also demanded that Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy parade his friendly MLAs before the Governor and submit a letter of no-confidence against the government if has guts. Mr Yerrannaidu felt that Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy would definitely rejoin the Congress party as some Union ministers openly claiming that Mr Jagan was their man.
The Telugu Desam party MLC, Mr Rajendraprasad, asked Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was losing people’s confidence, to close down his shop and keep quiet. He sarcastically said that Mr Jagan has become dumb with the challenge thrown by Mr Chandrababu Naidu.
Another party leader, Mr Kalva Srinivasulu described Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy as a weed that deserved to be rooted out. He asserted that the TDP alone has guts and power to dislodge the Congress government from power. “If necessary, we will pull down the Kiran Kumar Reddy government at an appropriate time,” he said, adding that even MLAs have no protection to their lives in the Congress rule.
