Kiran visits Chiru for a cup of tea

In a day of hectic political developments, the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy made a surprise visit to the house of Tirupati MLA Chiranjeevi and was with him for about 30 minutes.

Sources told that the Chief Minister wanted Chiranjeevi to come to Dr Marri Chenna Reddy Human Resource Development centre to discuss the blue print for development of Tirupati. But, Chiranjeevi told the Chief Minister that, since he has to pass by his house, he should drop in for a cup of tea and the Chief Minister obliged.

The sources said that during the 30 minute meeting Chief Minister had with Chiranjeevi, he discussed the Rs 405 crore blue print that was recently prepared for overall development of Tirupati, which includes development of drainage system, roads works, traffic problems, construction of subways, development of slum areas and drinking water projects.

The Chief Minister is said to have indicated of releasing the necessary funds for these projects.

It is also understood that the Chief Minister discussed the day’s political developments like the offer of resignation by Excise Minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana and the threat of resignation by Health Minister D L Ravindra Reddy etc. with Chiranjeevi.
