Lagadapati’s hand in Solar Energy scam alleged

Demanding the Centre to initiate action against the Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal for his Company Lanco’s role in Solar Energy scam, the Telangana Political JAC Chairman Prof. Kodandaram has alleged that about Rs.13,000 crore government money was misused in this scam.

Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Prof. Kodandaram said that Rajgopal was raising Samaikyandhra slogan only to earn illegally.

Finding fault with the State government for filing petition against the High Court verdict ordering CBI inquiry into the Kakathiya University student Yakub Reddy’s case, Prof. Kodandaram said that the government has to withdraw its petition if it has not committed any mistake with regard to Yakub Reddy case. He alleged that the government rewarded the police personnel who tortured Yakub Reddy, by giving good positions. He said that the JAC’s efforts were yielding some fruits with regard to Yakub Reddy case and it was proved by the State government approaching the Supreme Court.

Prof. Kodandaram also made it clear that he will approach the Amnesty International and the Human Rights Commission with regard to Yakub Reddy case. He exuded confidence that the police will not run away from the CBI inquiry.

Finding fault with the Telangana Congress leaders for accepting minister posts, Prof.Kodandaram has given a call to the people to pull the betrayers of Telangana. He alsogiven a call to the people to obstruct the felicitation programs of the new ministers from Telangana region. He alleged that the Congress leaders were mortgaging the Telangana peoples’ wishes and aspirations for getting posts.
