Hyderabad: The Praja Rajyam party chief, Mr K. Chiranjeevi, and the Congress MP from Vijayawada, Mr Lagadapati Rajagopal, separately met the Chief Minister, Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy, in the camp office this morning.

The Chief Minister’s meeting with Mr Lagadapati Rajagopal has significance as the latter is a rabid supporter of the United Andhra Pradesh. The Vijayawada MP also reportedly discussed his constituency problems with the Chief Minister and suggested a name for the post of Chairman of Kanaka Durga temple, Vijayawada.

According to informed sources, Mr Lagadapati discussed the recent political developments in the State at the meeting for nearly half-an-hour.

Mr Chiranjeevi also called on the Chief Minister in the camp office later and brought his constituency issues to the notice of the Chief Minister. He reportedly expressed his displeasure over the Chief Minister’s cool response when his party MLAs met Mr Reddy. The inordinate delay over convening the PRP-Congress merger meeting also figured in the discussion, it is learnt.
