Nagam Stages Dharna Before Police Station

Mahabubnagar, Feb.9 (NSS): TDP senior leader Dr. Nagam Janardhana Reddy has staged a dharna at the police station at Thimmajipet in this district on Wednesday, demanding the release of Telangana agitators arrested by the police.

The Telangana activists have tried to obstruct the ‘Racha Banda’ programme in Thimmajipet in the district. Police who intervened, arrested six of their leaders.

Several leaders including Dr. Nagam have come to the police station and staged a dharna there, demanding the release of the arrested persons. They said they would not leave the place until the agitators were released. Nagam also warned that all the people’s representatives from Telangana would resign to their posts if Telangana bill was not introduced in the Parliament, during the ensuing budget session. (NSS)
