Narayana Reddy of YSR Cong Sworn In As MLC

Hyderabad: Mr Devagudi Narayana Reddy of the newly-floated YSR Congress party, who had won as an MLC from Local Bodies Constituency recently, on Thursday took oath as member of the Upper House.

The Pro-tem Chairman, Mr Basava Punnaiah, administered oath to Mr Reddy.

Speaking to mediapersons before taking oath, Mr Narayana Reddy said that the ruling Congress party and main Opposition Telugu Desam party had made all-out efforts to defeat him in the election. However, he had won the election upsetting their calculations.

Mr Reddy made it clear that they would leave no stone unturned for the win of the YSR Congress Party in the ensuing by-elections to the Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula Assembly seats. He also swore that they would see that Ms Y S Vijayamma, wife of late YSRm win the election with unprecedented majority. (NSS)
