Hyderabad: Disputing the claim of YSR Congress Party Chief Mr YS Jagan Mohan Reddy that he stood by values and that led to by-elections, the PCC general secretary Mr G Niranjan alleged that Mr Jagan was not a person to be satisfied with minister post but he wants only the Chief Minister post, and hence forced the by-elections.
Speaking to the media in Gandhi Bhavan here on Saturday, Mr Niranjan warned Mr Jagan that people would not spare him if the latter speaks as he wished, for his selfish ends. He said that the public were attending Mr Jagan’s meetings only to see him as YSR’s son, but not due to his charisma.
Stating that the names of Mr YS Jagan and Mr Gali Janardhan Reddy of Karnataka were synonym for ‘corruption’, he asked the people to judge for themselves about such people extending support to Anna Hazare’s anti-corruption movement. He said that the people would chase these leaders some day by raising their heads. He also asked as to how Mr Jagan had earned crores of rupees, if he was against corruption. He exuded confidence that the ‘corruption’ of Mr Jagan would come out some day and people would know the realities.
On government’s action against Mr. Jagan for Corruption, Mr Niranjan said that it would initiate action at an appropriate time. (NSS)
