Nizamabad DT Achieves 99% Target In Institutional Deliveries

Bodhan, Feb.11 (NSS): The District Medical and Health Department is making efforts to achieve the goal of 100 per cent Institutional deliveries so as to reduce maternal and neonatal mortality, said Dr. Kanappa, Addl. DMHO, Nizamabad, at a workshop organized on the second day of Bharat Nirman Public Information Campaign at Bodhan.

Speaking at length on the activities of Medical and Health Department and NRHM, he said that immunization of all the children and Family Planning are the important activities that are being undertaken in the district. The District has achieved 99 per cent target stipulated for institutional deliveries during the current year. The district has secured first place in the state by achieving 98.96 percent growth in Family Planning during the current year.
