Normal life paralyzed due to Telangana bandh

telangana-bandhDue to following bandh called by Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President K. Chandrasekhara Rao against the proposed Rayala-Telangana.

Several educational institutions and business establishments remained closed in Telangana region and Hyderabad today.

OU, JNTU and BR Ambedkar Open University have postponed their examinations scheduled for the day.

Hyderabad city bus services in the state capital were affected since morning as protestors staged dharnas in front of bus depots across 10 districts in Telangana and in Hyderabad opposing the creation of Rayala-Telangana. However there is no impact on the local and long distant trains.

Several pro-Telangana unions, including Telangana Mazdoor Union in APSRTC and Telangana Doctors Association also participated in the bandh.

Supporters of the bandh also took out rallies at various places across the region.

The shutdown has been called by the TRS, BJP,CPI and a number of people’s organisations. TPJAC also extended support to the shutdown.
